Thus dumb kids, through no fault of their own, grow up to be politicians who, in a flash of dazzling idiocy, also cut education so they can balance the budget.

Actually it’s probably already happened a couple of times. Does a great deal to explain the state we’re in, and precious little to modulate my rage.
